This is a biweekly event created by Mary-Elizabeth Gilbert. This will be my third time playing. This is what she says “Our first show in September coming off of the Labour Day Weekend is Indie Tuesdays at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) We have an awesome line-up for Tuesday September 2nd with 3 incredible indie bands! Kicking off the evening is Dougal who played various instruments, including electric, and acoustic guitar, bass, harmonica, keyboards, fiddle, tenor saxophone, bamboo flute, and the bagpipes, in a variety of genres, with different rock, jazz and other groups, The Quintet, The Vacant Lot, The Grub Street Banana Band, Rockwood, and, most recently, bitchin’! Next up is Metyor Girlz who is a blues based rock ‘n roll band hailing from Toronto. They are influenced by the Rolling Stones, Johnny Winter, 60s garage and psychedelic Rock. Closing the show is The Hogtown Rebels featuring charismatic frontman, Max Brand! The Hogtown Rebels is a roots rock n roll band that does covers and originals from Toronto.
