May/June Fun
I have some catching up to do here. Maybe when you have read it all, you will understand. It has been kinda busy. Here goes.

May and June were exciting. I performed in not one, but two, Nashville-style singer/songwriter, performance rounds. The first one was at the Supermarket in Kensington, organized by Kensington Unplugged, and featured 16, yes 16, local singer/songwriters performing onstage in groups of four at a time, Nashville Style. I was in the last set at 10 pm, with Morgan Dunbar, Nude not Naked and Conor Lynch, all excellent performers. What a great bunch! This was after three other sets of four. In all, a spectacular evening. Thanks Angelina.

The next up, was a regular feature, at the Tranzac, Tranzac in the Round, hosted by Philip Vonesh, another singer/songwriter evening, with three of us onstage, Philip , Angelina MacKinnon, and me, going around playing songs in a circle. I really enjoy those kind of events, I get to play my own songs, and hear other singer/songwriters in and intimate setting. Philip is also the organizer of the recent Toronto Folk Festival on Toronto Island.

Last, I performed at the Open Tuning Festival, in Seaton Village, in the Karma Coop parking lot. It was my fourth time performing there. This was Saturday. I walked up there from the Free Times Café, after Dr. B’s Acoustic Medicine Show, last of the season, so I missed the group photo. This festival has been going 10 years and is always a treat, with performance happening on porches, in back alleys, garages, and parking lots all over that neighbourhood, open air. My son Kyle, and grandson Sawyer, came down to attend the festival. Kyle took the photo. He is quite good at it.
That was May/June. It gets stranger from there. I will continue this in my next post. Stay tuned.
