Busy July, too
Time for some updates. This is from Brian Gladstone’s Back to the Patio at Free times on Saturday, July 8. He invited me to sing a few songs. I did, I sang “Sunflowers for Ukraine”, and “Two Chairs”. Also on the bill were Mike Weideman, Michael Bär, Brian sang with his daughter Lindsay, followed by Anny Lindsey and David Woodhead. Someone came up to me after the show and said they really enjoyed my performance, I thanked them. They said, “You are the guy who say with his daughter.” Well, thanks anyway.
The next day, Sunday, July 9, I did a half hour set for the Doghouse Open Mic Lockdown Sessions, coming from Scotland, and streaming on the Facebook group page. It was 7 to 7:30 pm Scottish time, so 2 to 2:30 here. It streamed out of my Bohemian Basement. It was good, but I still find it a little unnerving to perform to a virtual audience and not have the live feedback.
Then, a week later, Saturday, July 15, I did a 45 min set on Duffy’s patio at the BIG on Bloor Festival. That was fun, in between the rain and the passing drum group. The festival was noisy, but a number of fans showed up.
